Why Banks Want to Make You ‘Sticky’

Why Banks Want to Make You ‘Sticky’

You might have been told that tying up your loans with one lender is a neat and tidy way to manage your mortgages.

And it is, for the banks.

Making You ‘Sticky’

In another life, some of us used to be bankers. And we were often instructed to make sure our clients had all of their loans tied together.

They called it, making the client ‘sticky’.

It made sense, because if your loans are tied up with one lender; the banks have more control if things go south.

Diversify Instead

We always encourage our clients to diversify. Don’t put all your home loans with one lender, because if you do run into issues, you could risk all of your assets.

So be discerning and embrace diversification!
